RRR Law

RRR Law is an initiative of the Law Council of Australia funded by the Commonwealth Government as part of a broader project on Recruitment and Retention of Lawyers in Rural, Regional and Remote (RRR) Areas undertaken by NACLC.

The website links people to job opportunities in Rural, Regional and Remote Australia and has everything aspiring country practitioners need to know about legal careers in RRR Australia including interactive case studies from people working in RRR destinations. The website also highlights the development opportunities available in RRR areas, including a range of training programs and incentives available to RRR practitioners.

Under the project, four regional coordinators were employed to work with the publicly funded legal profession in North West Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia and Western New South Wales. They focused on recruitment and retention strategies. Three have finished their work and the fourth remains in Western New South Wales. The aim is to work closely with the private legal profession and regional law society to provide support.
