National Community Legal Education Workers' (CLEWS)

The National Community Legal Education Workers’ (CLEWS) Network supports CLE workers across the Australian non-profit legal sector and promotes the value of CLE work as a core component of CLCs' work.

The Network is a loose affiliation that meets each year at the NACLC Conference. This is an opportunity to share ideas, thoughts and projects. Each year the Network hosts a guest presenter at its meeting.

The Network also hosts the Community Legal Education Workers Network on Facebook. This is an online space in which workers can post questions, promote their work, share resources, tips and advice and... you name it.

Community Legal Education workers and those with an interest are welcome to apply to join the group (you need to sign up to Facebook if you haven't already done so). Simply follow the link above and select Join Group. Once the group's Admin has OKd you, you'll be able to check the feed, post your own comments etc and stay updated.

If you're already a member of the group you're welcome to invite colleagues to join via email. All you have to do is select Invite by Email (just under the little magnifying glass symbol, top right). All they have to do is follow the link you email them and click Join Now.

As the Facebook group is open to non-CLC people with an interest in community legal education, members should bear this in mind before they post questions, comments etc.

For those who are also interested in law reform work, there's a CLC Law Reformers group on Facebook. And a group for CLC Communications Folk.
