Consultant for NPA Review

This is a collaborative review that will involve the Commonwealth and all states and territories, and will include extensive consultation with service providers. The review will help to ensure the government continues to deliver the most cost-effective Commonwealth-funded legal assistance services to those most in need. It will also help drive important reform across the legal assistance sector.

All four Commonwealth legal assistance programs will be included in the review, these services are:

  • Legal Aid Commissions
  • Community Legal Centres
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander legal services
  • Family Violence prevention legal services.

The review is to be completed by 30 June 2013.
