First update on the Review of the National Partnership Agreement on Legal Assistance Services (the NPA Review).

Here is a brief recap of some of the progress so far:

  • there is a review of the National Partnership Agreement on Legal Assistance Services (the NPA review) by the Australian Government Attorney-General's Department. The NPA Review is to be completed by 30 June 2013
  • to view the Terms of Reference and Frequently Asked Questions refer to the Attorney-General's Department website
  • Dr Liz Curran has completed a literature review
  • Allen Consulting Group has been appointed to conduct the review
  • a three-tiered governance structure has been set up to facilitate engagement with stakeholders
  • this three-tiered governance structure includes an Advisory Committee  - NACLC has two representatives
  • the first meeting with the Advisory Committee is on Monday 4 June in Sydney
  • There will be a pilot of the Evaluation Framework conducted in Queensland. This pilot is scheduled to be completed by mid October
