Subscribing to online forums and discussion groups
There are many online forums and discussion groups that have resources and information of use to CLCs (e.g. about getting funding, organistional development, or particular legal issues).
It can be hard to keep up to date with the news generated by these forums and groups. All too often, people register for email updates and then never read the messages which then flood their inboxes.
The BBS can play a role in making sure that relevant CLC staff know about useful resources. For example, the Network folders often contain tips from individual CLC staff about useful sites for members of that network.
You can also set up filters in your BBS or email software which immediately put incoming messages of a particular type into a relevant folder to be read at a later date.
