The National Association of Community Legal Centres (NACLC) has held an annual conference every year since 1979. The conference provides an important opportunity for workers from CLCs to get together and learn from each other, hear from inspirational and interesting speakers and recharge their batteries.
The National CLC conference attracts approximately 300-350 delegates from about 200 community legal centres throughout Australia and New Zealand. People attend from all major capital cities and surrounding suburbs and from regional, rural and remote areas.
Every year the conference is held in a different state / territory. The 2008 NACLC conference is being held in Darwin, NT from 17-20 August. The theme of the 2008 conference is Just is as Just does – Community Legal Centres working for Justice. It is the 29th annual conference of Australian CLCs.
