The Disability Discrimination Legal Service (DDLS) is part of the Cairns Comunity Legal Centre and is a specialist service, which provides legal advice, information and referrals to people with disabilities who have been discriminated against because of their disability. The DDLS is available to such people in the area of North Queensland (north of Mackay).

The Seniors Legal & Support Service (SLASS) is apart of the Cairns Community Legal Centre and is a specialist service, which provides legal advice, information, referrals and social work support for the benefit of seniors experiencing elder abuse and financial exploitation. Areas of advice:  Taylor Street Community Legal Centre is an independent non-profit community program managed by the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre.  It provides free legal advice to the people in the Wide Bay,  Hinkler, North, Central and South Burnett and Cooloola Coast regions.
Advice is free, however, consultations are limited to a maximum of 15 minutes and each session may be limited to the first 8 clients.

The TUQ NQ office is a regional office of the Tenants Union of Queensland. The NQ office provides tenant education, policy and tenancy law training, services in the north of the state and provides tenant advice on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  The TUQ Indigenous Tenant Education Program is also based in the NQ office in Cairns.
